Hello DJBEINO,

So who wrote the analysis on this link? Some of the comments seem to have a little thought, but many are bordering on silly.

I really can't take the Novell comments serious when someone would write "analysis" like:

> Suprising to us, Intuit's presentation was sparsely attended.
>
> {stuff deleted}
>
> Coming soon is Multi-User QuickBooks, the biggest product hole in
> their lineup. Web-based services also are planned.

Gosh ... I thought that multi-user accounting software was something that *any* serious company wrote in the 1970's ... just how smart do you have to be to write a multi-user product for networks?

And as for Web-based services, that *might* be a good idea. I dropped Quicken years ago because my bank had a better Web-based offering ... full reporting and bill pay from *any* browser ...

With "holes" like this in their product line it is obvious that their focus is somewhere else ... I believe that most banks will start to offer more of these services direct ... no use waiting for Intuit to finally deliver!

And in the comments about Ascend Communications they talk about some new hardware and state:

> This exciting prospect may mean you can talk over the internet with
> your PC microphone and speakers as part of your normal Internet
> access service sooner than you think.

I've been using CU-SeeMe and doing this for over three years now with friends, family, and co-workers ...

Maybe one day people who write like this will wake up to the world around them ...
