*OT* Does anyone know what a continuos wave (non-pulsing) diode laser could be used for. It is my understanding that this is new technology, as all other lasers run at high frequency pulses

Jeffrey - >>>>>Who will produce X-Ray masks, still DPMI? <<<<< IBM is a likely candidate. Also possibly Photronics.>>>Who will produce the equipment to make X-Ray masks?<<<Don't know, but Micrion sells a system for repairing x-ray masks, and Mitsubishi has a new fab which will use XRL for critical device layers. Also, LG Semicon is going full steam into XRL. These are just a few companies, along with IBM, that are mentioned as being very involved in XRL.
