Hi.

Would you say that a company which files its financials with the SEC and otherwise is forthright in its disclosures is a good candidate for investment? Is there anything in this process which prevents the company or its officers from simply filing false financials, and experience I've had a number of times in the past? ie, what are the penalties for filing false financials (I don't mean the normal range of errors and unknowns, but absolutely false docuemnts)?
