Brian, Re"AMD chart":,

The point was that charts might be a useful tool in your trading arsenal, they cannot be used in predicting earnings. By your measure, the charts were screaming great earnings last year in March and all AMD has achieved since then is losses. You can do all the math on AMD's capacity to produce chips but if they stay at 266/300 only, then soon they won't be able to sell them for much profit.

Besides you seem to take all Jerry Sanders says for the gospel truth. Sanders might have toned down his bombast lately but at heart he remains a salesman. (That's why he's still at the helm of the company despite so many major screw-ups and such dismal long term stock performance - and whether the company does well or not, you can bet your bottom $, Sanders will continue to be very well rewarded). This brings me to another topic - I did not see all the AMD loyalists here discussing the ballot proposals - I was quite offended and voted to register my views.

Besides, I would not call the K6 a competitive product if all they manage to do with it is to stay at the low-end, it is, definitely though, a credible product and competitive at the low-end of the game.

Best Wishes,
- MJ
