eric...another interesting coincidence....often gold will get "bad" news right before a big dip in the DOW. Happened in Dec. and Oct. last year....

It just strikes me that if I want the price of something higher or lower, I would want to do it as cheaply as possible. Doing the marking in the last few minutes of play gives opposition little time to react.

As in stocks, the predominant amount of orders in the book are at or near the prevailing price at the time. The farther away from the prevailing price will show very few orders. This situation, particularly in computerised environments, is easily taken advantage of .

Nope .. I've felt that way for a long time ..... as long as BC is in office (or until there is a disaster of some sort) I think these tactics will continue ..... FWIW <g>
