Kevin, Re"x86 market share":
The x86 market was supposed to grow only at 5% late last year but that has been lately upped to 15-20%.

Besides, you continually seem to be counting Cyrix/NSM out of the game - Fuchi would be quite offended. The major part of AMD's gain is going to come at the expense of Cyrix - especially at Compaq and IBM where the Cyrix sockets have been/will be taken over by K6 at the very low end. It is quite possible that AMD take some marketshare from Intel at the very low end but that remains to be seen and any Intel exec that concedes that before the fact probably needs to go over to work for AMD. However my prediction is that AMD's market gains would be nothing to write home about and unless they execute perfectly and Intel screws up , the stock will in all likelihood head lower again (when we can buy it back on the next big hope),

I'm only arguing the point because you seem to be making a big deal out of something that has not yet been achieved and even if it were to happen, it is really insignificant yet in the larger scheme of things.

Best Wishes,
- MJ
