Bill-

I ended up going with ISDN, which is what you have, right? I had a little bit of trouble with it at first, had a couple days I couldn't trade because of multiple disconnects, but I raised hell with the provider (Pacbell) and it's been solid ever since (I'm knocking on wood as I say this). They guaranteed me reliability when I signed up, and I am holding them to it. The ISDN is 128K (2 bonded 64K B channels), I get 115K in reality due to the port speed limitation, but I am going to get a Turbocomm port card to increase the speed a bit. The speed seems more than adequate, but I realize that there are a lot of variables in the connection, the ISP, the network(mine is MCI) and the servers on the other end. Lots of connections and lots of places to have problems. I usually do a tracert if I think I'm getting delays. If the delays are unacceptable, I think twice about trading. There has been trouble at Nasdaq too from what I gather, I've seen Island go down, selectnet go down, back up 20 min later. Keeps things exciting, don't you think?
I am trading through another broker right now which I will decline to name in respect to this particular thread.
