Tim, I do own shares, and I know Alan about as well as I know you, or anybody else's name I've seen floating on SI for x years. Think you were posting on Infoseek for a while, hope you did well. I did just okay. Anyway, I'll be watching this stock closely, but hopefully not jumping the gun.

Tim - Perhaps because he's been unfairly accused....if my memory from this morning is correct Alan merely pointed out that La Jolla had been selling. Others have mushroomed this story with possibilities all day. Anybody ever play that childhood game of whispering a line in the ear of the kid sitting next to you? What's heard by the last kid generally bears little resemblance to what was first said. Let's just clear this up tomorrow with a call or two to the company and replace frank talk about possibilities with fact. Today's discussion has been only that....it hasn't even been about anything you could accurately call a rumor.....just talk.

Dave

Tim,

I own a lot of shares here. Bought into that madness on Friday. I had been doing some homework on this company since Alan (and a friend of mine) mentioned it last week. I'm not a day trader by nature. After reading this discussion thread and having worked in the Utility business for 9 years I was already aware of the technology behind this stock (My former employer had a total of 3-4MM meters to read in the midwest).

I bought into this company based on the possible technology and where the market cap for this company currently was, despite the CEO's reporting of possible outstanding contracts.

Now, am I qualified to post here now? Perhaps you need to know the number of shares I bought and at what price.....

Mark

I just finished reading you post on the antics of MM'ers and it is all gospel.

I would like to know if you can offer up any tips for spotting these dudes other than the
doubt they create? I would think they could and would create euphoria when it would
best serve their purpose as well?

I too watch the bid/ask and the bid/ask volume constantly on any stock I am following.
There are many of the MM'er tricks that one can learn if you are watching. But, heaven
help you if you begin to educate the investors on the thread. They will start a stink the
likes of which you won't believe. I had it happen to me. I discovered the poster was a
broker and believe it or not, just a visitor to the SI threads. This person is no longer
posting and I would guess banned from membership for the last performance.

Those of you on the thread who know the tricks and antics of the MM'ers should
educate the thread share what you know. This is the fastest way to root them out and
beat them at there own game.

One that I have noticed is near the end of the day they will drop the bid or even the next
trading day, thereby causing the weak and doubting to think "geez someone sold a ton
at last minute or late the day before" I better get out while I can.

Wham... the MMer just bought some CHEAP stock! He is shaking out the weak and it
usually works. I believe we can teach others and beat them at their own game. I am
always looking for new information on this subject. Let's share what we know...

I am getting to the point that I am "suspect" of any and all johnny come lately's to the
threads I follow.

Dusty :o)
