I wonder why the VD model does not own Entremed shares. Was it considered to be too speculative? Did it fly below the radar screen? Or did the model just not get around to actually buy shares?.

In my opinion an investor that like the VD model has big bets on cancer biotechs simply can not afford to not own some Entremed. After all we have the risk that angiogenesis inhibitors make most other cancer treatments obsolete.

I started buying a few days after I heard about the Nature paper which described the remarkable success of treating mouse tumors with endostatin.(T. Boehm et. al. - Nature, vol 390, 27. november 1997, pages 404-407)

I had hoped that I would have several years for accumulating a decent ENMD position. Now it seems that I have to be content with the fact that my small ENMD position transformed itself into a medium sized one over night.
