Dauntless: I'll be glad to "straighten you out." as you request, though we all know you have no genuine wish for information when you ask me the question. Rather, you wish to try to embarrass or humiliate -- a sign in your posts of weakness of character and mental capacities. If you had any interest in a genuine dialog you'd be a reasonable person and this thread would be a useful one. It's not. Here's your answer anyway, not for you, since dialog with you is fruitless, but for others: When I don't know something I ask. Then I form a reasoned opinion based on the information I've collected. I said clearly that I hadn't been to that kind of "scientific" meeting, (there was no need for you to pretend to ferret out that "dirt" since it was neither secret nor shameful) so I asked Hank about the structure of the poster sessions and he kindly provided the information I needed. I've attended many scientific meetings, true scientific meetings. The fact that poster sessions are called "scientific" meetings doesn't mean they are scientific. They are not, in my view: They are sloppy science at best. They provide, in the case of Zonagen's poster, meager, unsubstantiated information in writing and uncertain dialog with the presenter. The fact that I haven't attended poster sessions doesn't invalidate my opinion about the value of the Zonagen poster, nor invalidate my opinion about the validity of the report, the scientific value of the event, nor the quality of what's being presented. Since I am professionally trained in science, have pursued some career in science, have the capacity to reason, am able to maintain an objective point of view, don't close my mind to information even if I find it disagreeable, my opinion is worth at least as much as any one else's in this thread, or in any forum. Each reader will form his own opinions about all of these matters, including the value of my posts and yours. That you wish to attempt to humiliate me for never having attended a poster session is a sign only of the impoverishment of your character as indicated in your posts. Even if you had attended a thousand poster sessions yourself, and it's doubtful you've ever attended any, your opinions are valueless because your posts have indicated that you are biased, closed-minded, intractible and irrational. Your stated biases prevent you from engaging in reasoned thinking about the company, or about much else. There's evidence in your posts of an impoverished spirit, a closed-mindedness, a mean-spiritedness, a vulgarity and an unkindness as well as an incapacity to engage in objective reason. For someone who posts as you post, there is no wish to find truth, only to impose your views and destroy anyone who disagrees. The ferreting out of dirt is particularly representative of that wish to destroy rather than construct. In other threads in which I participate on SI there are constructive dialogs between shorts and longs, so that people with differing views can consider the positives and the negatives about a company. You have prevented that in this thread -- forcing an unnatural polarity of views, using epithets and childish attacks instead of sharing facts and conversation. When I arrived at this thread you were throwing childish names and dishing dirt at people who disagreed with you and now you are still doing the same, though I certainly tried hard to change the atmosphere and did succeed for a time. Now that you have put me in the "short" category in your mind, you began the same tactics on me: trying to unearth dirt, muckrake, make mindless attacks, call names and attempt to humiliate and have formed an alliance with some of the dregs of SI to do that. I can't say even in the best of times that you were actually able to engage in a thoughtful dialog, but at least you did stop name-calling for a short while and the thread was the better for it. It's unlikely that you'll be able to stop name-calling again, but why don't you work on that? You and a few others have pretty much prevented anything constructive from occuring in this thread for a really long time. Linda
