International Fibercom Inc. Extends Warrants

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1998--International FiberCom Inc. (NASDAQ: IFCI; Boston Stock Exchange: IFC) Monday announced that its board of directors has voted to extend the term of the company's common stock purchase warrants which trade publicly under the NASDAQ ticker symbol: IFCIW.

The 1,302,480 common stock purchase warrants, which were issued in conjunction with the company's secondary public offering in August, 1994, will now expire on Sept. 15, 1998.

The warrants were exercisable for a period of three years after issuance, and were previously extended by the company until June 5, 1998, and have an exercise price of $5.50 per share and are redeemable at $.10 per warrant if the stock price has averaged $8.10 per share for 20 consecutive days.

The common stock issuable upon exercise of the warrants has been registered pursuant to a registration statement effective Feb. 12, 1998. Therefore, any warrantholder who exercises his warrants will receive freely transferable common stock.

International FiberCom specializes in the design, installation and maintenance of fiber-optic and other cable services for the telecommunications and cable industries.
