Actually, Fleckenstien made money last year. The fact that a short only fund made money last year is a testament to his skill.

i don't think he stays short when they go against him. I believe he just closes out his position and then reenters a short position later. Thus, not sure you can easily tell that he was short the last 2 1/2 years on the boxmakers.
I do agree that he hasn't liked the boxmakers for the last 2 1/2 years.
