IMO this is a head-in-the-sand approach to sell in high end market. coms did this once with their 3Wizard program to compete with Novell in pc net OS. You would think that they learned something from it. They can claim that 3Wizard program was a success, but we know who won the net OS war.

To compete in csco's back yard, coms should build up their direct support program first to gain market share. I heard story that their customer support is in chaos right now, and people are leaving.
