Jeff, this definitely falls in the FWIW category but earning's release dates on LOR have been 'shaky' for at least the last 2 qtr's as I recall. Folks on Motley were freaking out last time, and Readware basically said "cool your jets". His explanation was that LOR has to pull together lots of different entities plus kind of get the hokey-dokey from G* and QCOM and all the other public partners, almost implying that some blessing as to earnings treatment was, if not required, then deemed by LOR to be the polite way of doing business with your partners. I for one at least concluded that they will be out when they will be out, and don't really think it's worth setting your clock by. Regards, Mike Doyle

Jeff and all,

Jeff, G* cost structure is definitely going up as well as I* from all the sources available out there. G* original cost plan per its original plan was at $1.8 billion. Adding new functions such as GPS, etc. has definitely incurred more costs. The same thing will apply to I*.

Lehman's report on GSTRF and LOR:

Jeff: I haveta' agree with Mike. IMO, LOR's current price is not based on meeting, beating or missing the "est's" by one cent or otherwise, as we've all become so accustomed to. Personally, I find it refreshing to not wonder if a company that is setting the stage for an apparently very bright future is going to get trounced because some vapory whisper number wasn't met, whether by nebulous, but nonetheless GAAPy, accounting twists and turns or by solid results of operations.

With LOR, I really don't care very much about today's earnings; I'm most interested in tomorrow's. But, I admit, I'm curious about what they are, like you are. ; )

(Hey, I like your "investment style" in your profile!)
