I was in it before the sell signal hit on the Dow and S&P but as I noted earlier, it looks reasonably safe for this week . I like ELGT because of the speed at which it should move giving me time to hit the window of safety. The TA is just got too darn good to pass up. I now have a fast term target of 4 1/4 on it. When it starts moving, try not to miss it under 3 3/16. It has a 3 to 5 week target of 6. The chart is a HTF with obvious accumulation throughout the flag. The Killer Momentum Breakout Scan likes it. There's news written all over the TA. Any volume today will kick off a good run. I think ELGT is going to be alot of fun. Background: ELGT manufactures electric meter enclosures and pole-line hardware; natural gas measurement, metering and odorization equipment; vacuum-form and injection-mold products; and atmospheric water, filtration and enhanced water products. For the six months ended 1/31/98, sales rose 1% to $5.5 million. Net income from continuing operations applicable to Common totalled $369 thousand vs. a loss of $508 thousand. Results reflect higher electric revenues and a $1.3 million investment gain. Electric & Gas Technology, Inc. Announces Execution of Letter of Intent with Cosmos Telecommunications, Inc.biz.yahoo.com DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 18, 1998--Electric & Gas Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELGT - news) announced today execution of a Letter of Intent with Cosmos Telecommunications, Inc. (''COSMOS'') wherein ELGT will acquire 52% ownership of COSMOS, a privately-owned telecommunications company with operations throughout Central America, the Caribbean and South America. ELGT will also enter into an option by which ELGT may acquire additional shares of Cosmos at a future point. The transaction is to be consummated with an undisclosed amount of ELGT common stock and the advancement of certain funds to be used by Cosmos. At the time of the closing, Cosmos will hold definitive purchase and/or merger agreements with Gateway Worldwide Communications (''Gateway'') and All American Cables and Radio (''AACR''). For fiscal 1997, Gateway, a value-added reseller of discount international calling services primarily targeted to Central and South America, anticipates revenue of $31 million annually with EBIT of $1.3 million and net after taxes of $900,000. For the same period, AACR, a telecommunication carrier with fiber optic cable, microwave, satellite, and switching facilities based in the Caribbean, anticipates revenues of $25 million annually with EBIT of $1.8 million and net after taxes of $256,000. It is anticipated that the combination of Gateway with AACR will generate significant additional consolidation saving as well as revenue growth for both companies. The consolidation will reflect $56 million in annual revenues with EBIT of $3.1 million and net after taxes of $1.15 million. It is expected that ELGT will close, through its Cosmos subsidiary, the all-stock merger with Gateway by April 10, 1998, with the cash and stock acquisition of AACR occurring upon the conclusion of third party financing currently being negotiated by Cosmos. The major diversification of ELGT will team the company with a strong partner that has extensive relationships in the fast-growing Latin American market and establish a platform for additional acquisitions in dynamically growing markets. Both Cosmos and ELGT are also dedicated to internal growth related to its Atmospheric Water Technology.
