You are, of course, correct about the market mechanics. The
pattern is certainly like that cure for Alzheimer's a few weeks
ago. Or like GERN's periodic progress announcements. There's
more reason to take the science seriously here, and if it
pans out it's much closer to practical application than
GERN's very sound work on telomerase.
In a contest pitting science against market mechanics, there
is no point in discussing which side to bet on. It's fishing
with dynamite.
Has there ever been a case where buying one of these
"miracle breakthroughs" on the first pop actually paid off?
I don't follow Ballard Power, but I think that's worked out
so far.

Barb and All, the President (or CEO), not sure which, of ENMD will appear on CNBC today at 14:00 EDT, FWIW. Wonder if he will be able to justify today's pole vault-like leap? Now at 59 3/16, up 47 1/8 on over 12 million shares.
