I don't think you missed an easy $1,000,000 Buendia-- the options prices you were looking at for those options were stale, having been set at the end of the last trading day. The actual price by last night would probably have been in the 50s, not the 5/8s. And if you had held them until now (10:30 am), you would have actually lost money.

More likely if you placed a market order for your calls you would have been broke by now when they filled at whatever the (skyhigh) option price would have been at the open. (gg)

BTW, Andrew Vance on the Stock Swap thread went short at the open at 83 and covered 10,000 at 48 and was stopped out at 45 for the remaining 10,000. That's $730,000 in a few hours.

If you read the Stock Swap thread you'll see the DD we did last night that led to this decision.
