to have your contributions. There has obviously been a lot of
intentional misinformation issued on CYMI and it is great to have
an objective expert come on the thread to set the record straight.<<

Mind if I forward this to my boss? :-)

Seriously, I just have my ear to the ground like everyone else, except I get paid to keep it to the ground *all* the time.

Re: CYMI, even without intentional misinformation, there's plenty of confusion out there in the semiconductor industry about exactly what the future lithography picture looks like. The Asian crisis, the 300 mm pushout, and associated fab cancellations have further confused everything by changing the insertion points for all these new technologies, and the capabilities of each of the options are also changing on a regular basis. Throw in a whole lot of analysts who mostly don't understand the technology that well, and you've got a real nightmare. For a day trader, a six-month pushout of a major order is a BIG deal. For a long term investor, it's a buying opportunity. Fortunately for my nerves and my digestion, I'm a long term investor.

[Disclaimer: I cover technology, not finance, and I do not invest in individual semiconductor stocks, for journalistic ethics reasons. Ask someone else where to put your hard earned cash.]
