Brian,Re"More AMD":

Thanks for the courteous reply.
Yes, I have been an Intel investor for a long time now. But you're doing me and yourself disservice if you think my opinions are the way they are because of what is posted on these boards.
I've been working in the industry for a long time now (:-) relatively speaking) and have close friends at both AMD and Intel. I've been saying for a while now that the K6 is a credible product but it is not enough to dislodge Intel. The Nexgen/K6 team is very talented but they are fighting from way behind and it will take a while and a few generations of processors for them to catch up (or to come close).
By the way, if you think my opinion of Sanders is harsh, you should hear some of the AMD employees and their anecdotes.
I'd bought AMD recently (~$19) and have been out (~$30), so its not that I'm ignorant of the game.
A lot of AMD investors like to poke fun at the Celeron - I do believe it was a stopgap product for Intel however, it is a grave threat for AMD as it allows Intel to lower the pricing on the K6 and to deprive marketshare - and the performance issues have been addressed by the Mendocino.

Anyway, Best Wishes in your investments,
- MJ

PS: I do think Yousef's process related posts are some of the most useful posts on this thread - his opinions might be a bit biased but probably less than Albert/Fuchi et al's opinions
