MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4,
1998--Rainforest Cafe, Inc. (RAIN-National Market) announced
today that it has named Kenneth Brimmer President of the Company.
Mr. Brimmer has held the position of Company President, on an
interim basis, since April 1997 while the Rainforest Cafe board of
directors completed a search to fill the position.

Mr. Brimmer has demonstrated an in-depth understanding and
knowledge of the themed entertainment industry and has provided
strong leadership and strategic vision to Rainforest Cafe in the past
year. Mr. Brimmer has been instrumental in identifying key areas of
opportunity and growth for the company. During his interim
presidency, Rainforest Cafe has delivered a year of consecutive
record quarters.

Mr. Brimmer continues as a member of the company's board of
directors and will continue to report to Rainforest Cafe Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer, Lyle Berman. In addition to responsibilities at
Rainforest Cafe, Mr. Brimmer has worked with Mr. Berman in a
variety of capacities since 1990, including, since its inception in 1994,
various officer roles at Rainforest Cafe, Inc. In addition, Mr. Brimmer
is a director of New Horizon Kids Quest, Oxboro Medical
International, Inc. and Hypertension Diagnostics, Inc.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Berman noted, ''Kenneth
Brimmer has been involved with Rainforest Cafe since the business
plan was developed in 1993 and has been principally responsible for
its financial plan and the resulting excellent foundation for growth that
exists today. In addition, the depth of experience he has gained from

Going from 2.0 to 1.9 is actually an improvement. Who cares? These are meaningless as they are likely to change after tomorrow's earnings report.
