Petz - Re: " another reason AGP bandwidth not needed is texture map
compression..."

Then why did they make it an AGP-port chip?

" and delivers more than 4X AGP performance through its newly designed AGP engine and Microsoft-endorsed texture compression technology. "

Paul, If you bothers to read the Mercury article. The repsonded clearly points out both comsumer and business clients are not rushing to the $3,000.00 Intel systems. I have excluded AMd @ $3,000.00 because they sell there chips so cheap you don't have to charge $3,000.00 ofr a system.

Petz, AMD must be doning something right cause the Intlela bee's have taken there level of harassment up a notch. Do you suppose this is self inflected mental masterbation or As Sargent Shultz from Hogan hereo's would say "ORDERS from HEADquarters. Personaly I think the I-bees are suffering from Polen starvation. Intel has not secreated enough capital gain's to keep the be nurished. So they fly over here and try to suck on the AMD nurishment. I heard a financial repot describe how the S&P technoloby index was up 27% year to date and how INTEL again dragged down the index with it's under performance while AMd was holding up the semi contrubutions with a stellar 67% performance since the beginning of the year.
