OT_________This double punch treatment has worked really well IN MICE. Mice models of human disease can be great or not so good....mutations in the same gene, for example, sometimes lead to very different consequences in mice and humans. If this works in human trials, however, look out!

One fishy thing is that this data had been available for a while, only to appear, over the weekend, in several major newspapers, CNN, etc....uhmmmm

Anyway, if I had full blown cancer I would definitely volunteer for this treatment right away. I put an order to buy ENMD this morning (I live in England, so I put the order in around 4 AM). Thank God it is a holiday here in the UK and I could watch the market. I canceled my order when I saw what the open was gonna be! (Oh my if my wife would have caught me on that one!)

Good luck to all!

Alex

Michael: Read the Random Musings piece of Cramer's column today re Dr. Folkman (ENMD). He's skeptical.

***OT*** Michael,I just read about the 2 proteins that ENMD has developed to treat cancer. They sound promising, but human trials will not start until the first half of '99. (What works in a mouse may or may not work in humans.)This means that it probably won't be available for treatment if it is effective until the 2000's. So presently it's vapourware. The stock price has risen on speculation. (We are in the early stages of this development.)If the substances have side effects or don't work in humans the price of the stock could plunge. There is wild speculation in the Naz stocks now. I can't afford to speculate anymore, (IOM's enuff for me now, ggg) SR
