Sylvester - You didn't ask for a response from me, but I'll give one anyway, since I'm somewhat familiar with TradeStation. TradeStation, and the software I use, SuperCharts are both by Omega Research. With SuperCharts (SC), you can chart end of day, period. With TradeStation (TS), you can chart real-time. Also, with TS you have access to EasyLanguage, a very powerful programming language. With that, you can custom program indicators, or edit existing ones all you want. With SC, you have an editor which allows most of what you can do with TS. I think using web-based charting is fine if you are: a. Looking at the charts for basic patterns (triangles, support/resistance), or b. Happy using the canned indicators available in most web-sites (like 12/26/9 MACD or 14-day RSI). However, if you want to explore other indicators (like StocRSI), or want to tweak an indicator beyond what the web site will allow, you are stuck. You need a real charting package, and a data provider to get you your data. Also, these packages allow the building of 'systems', which you can backtest and optimize. No web site allows this as far as I know... I guess its a matter of how much you depend on TA for your trading, how complex you want your indicators/systems to be, and how much time/money you want to spend at it... Loren
