Actually my response was not intended for you, but to Linda. I believe she used the word "soft." I agree with you, many posters are for work-in-progess. But that is an insufficient condition to suggest "soft." That was my point.

Hi Hank; I agree with your statements about poster sessions. Often they present work in progress and preliminary results. However, I have seen some very good science presented as poster sessions. I have presented posters, so the science must be good (hehehe). I have also presented papers. Anyway, I also strongly agree that one of the most valuable things about poster sessions is that it permits one on one, more in depth discussions with the researcher. Concerning Zona's presentation, I really can't comment much on it as I have seen only excerpts.
