Here a buy/write for you...ASL buy at 10 sell Jun 10 calls for 1 3/16.

Buy on margin so net after commissions and margin interest is still 20%= for 7 weeks. Annualized = 150%

bw, how many people did you invite to come here? With our current #2 position on the hot subject list, people are going to find us!

Papaya - the drillers are seeing quite some mo-mo action lately. Back 1 month plus while the drillers were still in the trading range they were particularly sensitive to oil price. I don't think they have completely decoupled this time around but the oil hype will not have the same effect as before because a lot have been priced in. The rule of thumb for the mo-mo is sell on news and they don't mind taking profits. By the way what are some events that were so hot lately on the drillers? I don't recall seeing any new merger news...

SEV - what a day! Up 12%. It could be that they have found confirmed oil show in their latest well. It could also be that DLJ were issuing the buy recommendation since they underwrote SEV latest debt. Still, the stock has moved big time and indicative of significant event about to appear. bw - I would not chase it this time. There will be other times, you can almost bet on it!
