What a day for SAFS up to 6.25 and highest volume in over a year! For those who may be unaware. Safescience is THE company for carbohydrate chemistry worldwide. Many of the leading researchers in this area work at Safescience and everyone else knows about them. Dr. Platt and board member have lectured at Harvard too. Imagine for a moment if you knew of a company that had most of the leading experts in protein chemistry working under one roof! Why carbohydrate chemistry has not drawn more attention remains a mystery even to the scientist themselves. Perhaps no one has yet shown it can be a lucrative market in addition to a fascinating area of research. Well the protein chemist are going to barf when they see the kind of revenue and alliances SAFS will be forging. This is my honest opinion and the second reason I remain long on SAFS in addition to it being a great ethical/environmental stock.
