LT:

I don't always agree with your conjecture, but I certainly don't want this thread to be all cheerleaders. Have a Schlitz and post away!

LT, I, for one, appreciate your views. It brought to everyone's attention the fact that this bull market is not a "given". After much surfing this weekend, I can understand your fears. Mucho negativity out there. And definitly worth keeping an eye on.

I'm ready (not willing, but ready) to pull the plug anytime. Don't want to be in the red for the next 6 months (6 years?).

Challo

LT-
re:<<I'm not here to scare anybody or make them change their positions. Just letting my beliefs be known...I enjoy sharing ideas w/ this thread cause it seems to be one of the more intelligent and adult type threads, but I wouldn't want to post my non-bullish ideas if it would make everyone uncomfortable.>>

Judging from the number of your posts here today, I think we can all see that you enjoy sharing your ideas with this thread. By all means, continue to inform us with intelligent and adult type comments such as as those below. The exclamation marks are particularly helpful. The imagery - gravy trains careening off into caverns, yipes!, because the bridge is out; trash going to the moon; market blasting off - particularly insightful. All caps make a strong statement (WATCH OUT!). Many question marks heighten our sense of incredulity, while the plain "start selling now" is nicely understated. "Won't even be able to get [our] orders in" seems a little scary; but taking advantage of suckers who are "throwing money" at us sure sounds like fun. And the fact that the volume is "pitiful" pretty well clinches things. All in all, a virtuoso thread performance!

Verily, I would feel uncomfortable if you stopped sharing these "non-bullish ideas" with us here on the Strictly: Drilling and oilfield services thread. Where else could we get this quantity and quality of market prognostication for free?

Please, keep up the good work!
John

Yep, oil is down but Wall Street is throwing money at anything. We're going higher. Ride the gravy train!!! However, don't stay on too long. The bridge is out ahead, and the train will go off into the cavern. Don't be greedy!!!

mkt, but oil services will suffer along w/ everyone else. For now, take advantage of the suckers. They'll be throwing money at us over the next 2 weeks. I may be out by Fri :(

This is how tops are made Beeble. Large swings up and down, and trash going to the moon. I'm warning you.

if you don't believe me take a look at a chart of the DOW in '29 or a chart of the Nikkei in '89.

start selling

Beebs, I think we're looking at a matter of weeks. I'm not smart enough to time it. I think everyone thinks they can ride it all the way to the apex. it can't be done. IMO, you have to start selling now. You won't even be able to get your order in things get outta hand later.

So much for being in for the long haul. Market timing is market timing.
