I would only short if the sector turned negative. That definitely hasn't happened. WHen a bank merger is announced what happens? that's right.. the rest of the sector gets bid up on anticipation of MORE mergers!

You probably have more resolve than your average short. Shorting tech stocks is a nervous business, so those who have been sweating since last week when SEEK went from $28 to $34 after the momentum had supposedly run out will probably be grateful to cover at $31.

I wish you luck, but not at my expense.

Without an announcement very soon, I believe seek will drop to the $28 -$29 tomorrow morning and will probably go through that support level.
If I was short on this one, I wouldn't cover before that.
Too bad I'm long (but still hope I'm wrong)

We get a one hour Internet search engine hype session on Thursday morning on CNBC. You really think SEEK, who will be part of the show, is going to go down? Or sell-off substantially before Thursday, and not rise on Thursday and/or Friday based on what is discussed there?

IMHO, It might go in reverse, Dennis
