John, I don't know how similar the different quote systems are, but I was looking at a newsletter from Datek/Motley Fool today, and they said the for volumes over 10,000 they use actual numbers, but for smaller volumes, they use the actual divided by 100. so a 10000s5/16 would be a 10000 share trade at 5/16, but a 9s5/16 would be 900 shares at 5/16.
