Forums can turn into a full-time job if one is not careful. Fresh ideas come from readers who are out there lurking. Personalities vary. I'm easy going! The readers want to know where is the money!

I recently posted the following on the "Covered Call" thread

Subject 206760

but have so far not gotten any responses. The "Covered Call" thread is fairly new and so does not have a very large following. Since there are many more people following this forum, I am also posting here in hopes of generating some useful information for all.

----

I have been looking for other sources to generate ideas for potential covered call plays. I found two sites that offer good information for free. They are:

coveredcalls.com

securitytrader.com

Both are excellent sources to look for stocks that are currently carrying high options premiums. Covered Calls.com has a cool feature in that if you click on a stock symbol from the list, it links you to Yahoo Quotes where you can read message boards, find research, charts and news. It also has links to charts with Bollinger Bands and RSI indicators for each listed stock. The Security Trader site, has links from within the generated lists that take you to Yahoo Quotes, CBOE options lists, and also Big Charts (which offer many features including indicators). From these lists I examine the stocks to look for ones that I think have merit and value based on fundamentals.

I have also been using another source called Money Monthly that I am currently examining using their free one month trial. That site is:

money.monthly.com

If you haven't already done so, you can go to the above site and request their free one month trial. I am finding it quite useful as it was this site that tipped me off to CLCX. This site does not offer the links to data as the above sites do, but seems more complete in its lists of data. For example, neither of the above two sites showed CLCX, while Money Monthly had it listed. I am seriously thinking of signing up for this site's $89 per year data service.

Are there any other sites out there that offer similar data? I've found some that charge $20-$30 per month, but I think this is excessive, in light of what is available for free and relatively cheaper prices. Let us know if any of you are using other sites to find data or develop potential plays. If you are using a pay service, give us a review and let us know what you think?
