Jonathan....I think there's a possibility SEEK is on the verge of making a major announcement - It may have already been posted here but in case check out the article on ZDNet that came out at 1:30 Eastern time today (5-4-98) zdnet.com titled "Disney Expands It's Push Into The Online Arena" Article says Infoseek one of the companies named as a possible BUYOUT - Article says Disney believes to really utilize a web company to it's fullest it does not want to partner with, but BUYOUT. What do you think?....SEEK as the candidate? Regards

Hel-lo, Jonathan... The Fun Has Just Begun... Couldn't agree with you more about SEEK's lack of desperation to sign a deal. A SEEK insider leaks something to Red Herring. Did this leak queer the deal? Was this leak calculated to try to queer the deal? Was the leak a way of saying to another suitor, "Hey, you'd better get a move on, strike now, or forever hold your peace." Bottom line as I just got through saying on the Mezz: NSCP grabbed for all it could. Now I have two sources of solace: (2) I'll be able to grab up some more and (2) WE WON'T HAVE TO TIE OUR LITTLE ENGINE TO A VERY DUBIOUS STAR. Has NSCP suddenly become a marketing dynamo over night? Will it REALLY know how to play the game with a strong player like XCIT? Or will XCIT be yet another advantage that NSCP squanders for lack of savvy, creative thinking, and competitive smarts? Yes, the game IS, at least in part, about eyeballs. So XCIT and NSCP will make for a strong pair: lots of eyeballs. But, the game is still young. We're not even out of the 3rd inning yet...
