GJC:

As I said earlier, I had a conversation with Jack Arnold today.
He said the weekend was rather quiet, as they managed to reach an agreement on the new game plan last week. As some of us may already know, there was a real possibility that the whole merger would be called off. I don't know this for a fact, but that was the impression I was getting from calling the company last week. Looks like 'George111' whose message I posted here, was getting the same impression. Jack said they had a lengthy conference call last week with all parties present, including several lawyers, and a tax specialist from NYC (formerly with SSB), during which they settled a number of issues, and are now ready to proceed with Plan 'B' (CVIA acquiring WOTD) and start to buy oil & tire companies.

I don't know why they didn't go with Reorg. C in the first place.

Thanks for the update, George!

Regards,

Milk
