Louis, let me disabuse you of a certain notion that IMHO you seem to have:

Just because Louis Riley says it's so, doesn't make it so.

Those aren't inane and irrelevant posts. For example "an analyst, not an auditor" would describe the issue of whether or not a company's licenses in a key product area are possibly subject to renegotiation as being "irrelevant"? You're kidding right? Cash flows are sometimes affected by the nature of licensing and royalty payments in this industry...oh, sorry, you being the "analyst" have probably covered this ground in great depth in your research.

I think I made it abundantly clear I wasn't questioning K-Tel's count.
I think the line "And for the record, it's not KTEL's count that I'm questioning" sort of gives it away, but unfortunately, you weren't quite up to the task of picking it up. Are you getting enough sleep? You should try retiring a little earlier.

But your question does make me wonder if you yourself even understand that the site you linked wasn't even KTEL's site. Do you understand that it was just a person who took the time to put up a site about KTEL?

<Are you really so obsessed with this issue that you spent your time counting the number of song titles?>

Hardly an obsession and well worth the time, as anyone who has any remote degree of familiarity with software would understand that that it took just under a minute to save the page, open it in Excel, take out the header, scroll down, and read a number. For some of us, this isn't problematic. I'm sorry this exercise seems like it would be so draining to you. Again, I recommend retiring earlier if you're dragging a little.

The extent of your knowledge about this company, its products, its industry, the medium itself - sir, it's relevant.

I'm not the one proclaiming myself to be an analyst and issuing press releases containing ratings.

You're the analyst. Not me.
You're issuing ratings. Not me.
You're trading it. Not me.

Your knowledge is most definitely fair game. Whether you think
it is or not is irrelevant to me.

Good night,

Tom
