A rehash of US West's prior announcements using Speedrunner modem (recently acquired by Cisco). The PUC has already blocked them in Oregon, but the most important piece of this announcement is the last paragraph:

"Availability, scale and timing will depend on
rollout schedule, local market conditions and
regulatory environments. The technology also
requires that customers live within range of
ADSL-equipped wire centers.
