Gene,

4% for Q3 during a time when CPQ & INTC reported earnings declines.
Why don't you go back to Q2 & compare? You'll find that number
closer to 25.18%.

You sound like a complainer to me, Gene. Please take your whining
& moaning & groaning somewhere else. Maybe try striking up an
in-depth conversation with twister. You can cry to him about
SUNW's lousy performance & how you're not making any money, & it
can browbeat you with tons of unsubstantiated claims along with
its typical moronic commentary.

In the last two years many tech stocks were forecasting 35% + growth. But times have changed and the increases we are seeing generally are in the 20% range. But these are compared to the great earnings of 96 and early 97. I believe the quarter to quarter net income increase for sun this reporting period was 10%.

Wrong! eugene. The eps a year ago contains a one-time gain. From the sales/operation, last quarter's eps is actually up 16% year-to-year, rev. is up 12%! Just read the earning report again. Considering the Asian financial disaster and strong dollar, their last quarter's performance is stellar! Still don't believe it? Look at cpq (even though I own this sucker), hwp, mot, intc, ibm latest earning reports. Boy, Eugene, you can really pick a bone from a chicken egg. I agree with other fella on this tread, if you don't feel comfortable with a stock, there is no need to lose sleep over it. Just sell it and move on! I understand that you don't give a damn about return on equity and stuff like that. You just want to make a quick profit. I don't think SUNW is "it" for you.
