I got burned on gold and silver straddle options many years ago. Nothing wrong with my analysis, but I did not figure on naked options writers! I have waited all my life to be on the other side, giving the naked shorters a run for their money :-)

i love the challenge of me against them, i dont usually play for earnings, i play for news and on stocks that have been unfairly beatn up. info is the most powerful tool, believe ti or not ive made nice money buying puts on msft, its all about timing, and being able to listen to a ceo's scream in the night that they are undervalued or warnings of troubles ahead. i use stop limits on downside and ride the upside.
