Allow me to answer these questions:

<GGG> stands for glug, glug, glug--the sound of someone celebrating
considerably (and ignoring his poor, unemployed internet friend).

*AV* is Andrew's way of warning those of us in the know that his message
that follows is a decoy. His true winners he imparts to us without the
benefit of *AV*

*AV*--I learned the <GGG> from fellow posters. It is a series of giggles and expresses a jovial to humorous attitude.

The *AV* is a learned responsive habit that I cannot break. Way back, awhile ago, there was someone that hacked into my profile and took over my identity for roughly a day. Also, there was a discussion relative to being able to skip over certain posters and to easily recognize those messages posted by a small group of authors. As a matter of fact, someone made a comment about having to read a bunch of BS before they got to the meat of the discussions from certain posters to this thread. I also had(have) a tendency to become wordy. I took it upon myself on this thread to start all my posts with *AV* such that anyone that wanted to blow past my posts could do so. It never caught on with the rest of the community and became a moniker for me here. Also, the *AV* was to be followed by the stock symbols the message dealt with so that people who were not interested in that stock could breeze by the message.

Dropping the stock symbols was easy but the *AV* seems inappropriate to drop for some reason. Much like my infernal disposition to spell believe incorrectly even though I am conscious of this. Early on we were trying to set up rules of conduct and posting. Since that time, I started a rather technical thread to place my lithographic technology diatribes as not to put members here to sleep. That thread is General Lithography.

Aren't you glad you asked and have you fallen asleep yet?<GGG>
