Jim:

I don't know, will have to look into this, besides these are only estimates and could indicate analysts are having hard time putting a handle on 99 earnings.I am sure if someone knows the answer they will post it here.

Ref:1999 earnings.

Jim,
You are right about Yahoo,I think they get their info from Zacks.Anyway I found all kinds of estimates for 1999,here are some examples.

Zacks =$1.93
I/B/E/S=$1.46
S&P=$2.60
Nelson's consensus estimate service=$1.48

Don't worry too much about it as time passes hopefully these folks get a better idea and until then expect them to keep revising the '99 estimates.

Orbital switch sides-Washington Post article.

Jim and everyone:

Here is an article that appeared in the Post about Ecco satellite phone system and orbital,in case any of you missed it.

Highlights.
1)Orbi said switched from Ellipso to Ecco for 'philosophical differences', never had a firm agreement with them.

2)Ecco sat phone to cost much less than Iridium's $3.00/min charges.
Average cost to be $00.50/min to $1.00/min.

3)Ecco is designed to serves under-served areas of the world that is
closer to the equator.

4)Ellipso to cost more than Ecco to build ie.$1.4 billion vs $850 million dollars.

etc..etc.
