Ok, now you've gone beyond my timeframe...

I'm strictly end-of-day right now, for two reasons:

1. I can't look and trade in real-time, because I have a day job.
2. I do all my TA and trading with weekly data... real-time data would be much too fast for this style of trading.

When I reach a certain point in my portfolios, I will semi-retire, likely change my timeframe to an order of magnitude (or two) faster, and trade for a living. Until then, I only need Telescan end-of-day data with my SC.

Rainier... now, I remember SC RT...

[ Off Topic: Real Time Quotes ]

Katz,

I'm not the expert on real-time services, as I don't use them; I get everything I need from the internet, and it's for free. I know Datek gives free real-time quotes, and I know E*TRADE does it too for about $40 a month. Then there's DBC, which I think does it for $79.95 a month, and that gets you free Level II with the package!! Hard to go wrong with that.

Try and shop around, and see if you can get some more informed opinions from other traders. Try Ray Cunningham, or Lzzrd King, or others from the Tech Stock Options thread.

I hear though that the real-time services give enough of an advantage to make the fees worth it.

Good luck,

Rainier

Hi Katz..
I am new to SI but am a SNRS investor. I am also a broker
who uses PC Quote. They have a "non-professional" version
of their quote system which includes exchange fees (with
exception of NASDAQ Level II). You can check them out and
get a free week of use. Look them up at pcquote.com .
The professional rate for basic package is $750.00 per year
plus exchange fees which is a bargain.
Good Luck
Pam
