LT - regarding MU (second read)

If I recall correctly the last time I said MU has to break above $32 to be sure it has more upside to come. MU was near breakout today but it did not close above $32. Therefore, no breakout yet. The closing number is very important, not intraday. Those who bought intraday upon MU breaking through $32 has at least one more day of waiting for confirmation.

Also, I remember your questioning my view on calling MU being up long term. Please remember my "long term" is more like intermediate term to many - like 1-3 months. In that timeframe, MU has a recent pivot low that is higher than the prior pivot low so therefore the "intermediate" trend is up. If you pull up a 2-3 years chart then I agree the trend is still down or base-building.

Now if MU fools around with $32 and could not break and close above it decisively in three trials, go ahead and short because then you would have a better odd. Shorting right now is 50:50. For waiting these three days, you odd would probably increase to 60:40.

OK - here are my timeframe:

Short term - 1 day to 3 weeks.
Intermediate term - 1 - 3 months.
Long term - 3 - 6 months.
Anything longer - I'm really not that smart.

LT - good call on SEV this morning. It was smoking all right - up 12%. I should have you do me a sm0king piece a day on the stock I hold and I'll rich beyond comprehension real quick <ggg>.

I still don't get it why this thread is #2 in the hot subject list. I thought SI calculate hot subject ranking by taking into consideration at least,
1. The number of bookmark (which should be 4-5 since that's all we have, unless we have the driller crowd bookmark this without telling us??);
2. The number of hits per day;
3. Newness of the thread.
