It's billed as a "press briefing." Whether those are open to the public or not varies wildly. Sometimes, they don't even ask to see a business card, sometimes they need a letter on your employer's letterhead.

The letter is usually only needed if the briefing involves heads of state and others who have personal security concerns. (Or, in some cases, to screen out hecklers.) For most company briefings, freelance writers and analysts count as press.

If you're interested and in the neighborhood, call UTEK investor relations and ask. If you work in the building next door, you could try just showing up. Worst they can do is say no.
