Hi, Ojai

My ISDN experience is pretty much similar to yours. Called my ISP yesterday and they pretty much blew me off saying problem with internet delays was beyond their control or the fault of CyberCorp, etc, etc, etc. Worthless. The internet is simply not reliable enough to really do this kind of business, not on a consistent regular basis, imho.

Some folks may disagree, but it only takes you one day where you get stuck in a couple of volatile positions and you lose your connection (and some big bucks), then you know what I mean. Happened again to me yesterday, a day I will never forget.

However, I did speak again yesterday with CyberBroker president Mark Stryker and he advised me they were setting up late this week a deal with another company to provide a connection for us that is completely outside the internet where we can connect to Cyber using regular modems and local access dial-up numbers. That should help with reliability, not to mention make it cheaper for us than the frame relay option. I hope this happens soon. I am desperate for a reliable connection. Seriously.

Speaking of which, World Com is continuing to jerk me around big-time about my request a week ago to set up a dedicated frame relay connection. They are the pits. If you have ever dealt with the IRS, well....World Com will bring back fond memories for you. Basically, they suck. Sorry bunch of people. I am not impressed at all.

Isn't is a shame, though, how all our problems are related to the internet and World Com and all the computer network crap we must know to trade? Why is it we aren't even talking about stocks and the market anymore? I think there is something terribly wrong with this picture.
