Like most he assumes that it is the MM's who WRITE the preponderance of calls. Actually I write a lot of them myself. I would imagine which way a stock is moved by the option boys depends which way there book of options is skewed which depends I am sure on some very complex computer programs that endeavor to fully hedge their position most of the time or at least minimize their risk. They are not necessarily long or short at any time but no doubt try and push the market to their greatest advantage.

Per John Dowd's response to your question, it is my assumption that mms write a lot of these things. I've been burned enough times to have taken note of the practice...

I'll see if I can get some definitive information and will post what I find.

I'd appreciate views on the just announced pig study and its importance. It only involves 29 pigs, no results are given for TMR alone, how many pigs were treated with TMR and VEGF, or only VEGF.

I would think the finding that "results suggest that the combined use of TMR with direct injection of the gene, VEGF completely reverses
ischemic (diseased) wall motion abnormalities" in the pig study may be quite meaningful.
