"[Pentium MMXs] seem to work as well as the K6-300 at 100 Mhz Front Side Bus."

This is true, depending on how you read your statement. Your statement is deceptive because it gives the impression that Pentium MMX chips are available which will run as fast as a K6-300. They aren't.

Finally, your statement "And....they are cheaper!" is just plain wrong. At a given level of performance (MHz), from the Chipmerchant:

200 MHz Pentium MMX: $94
200 MHz K6: $78

233 MHz Pentium MMX: $132
233 MHz K6: $88

266 MHz Pentium MMX: does not exist
266 MHz K6: $172

300 MHz Pentium MMX: does not exist
300 MHz K6: $300

So what WAS the intent of your post? To demonstrate that a Pentium MMX can run at 100 MHz bus speed? If that's the case, why not just say it?
