There's only one criticism I have of your argument.Have you ever lied? Were they white lies (note the plurality)? Were they lies that existed to spare someone else's uncertainty? Was they lies in order to get one over on the meter maid or to cover an unexpected question from out of nowhere? Were they lies because you didn't know the answers, but you thought someone might be trying to set you up? Or were they lies because it was convenient for you to label as such? It's almost as if you think the world doesn't change on a daily basis and that business is only one-track, that it can't change its direction in order to affect a better result. Postmodernism, as a philosophy, in which there are no universal truths, is the argument you are trying to make. But even postmodernists will tell you that it can only be applied within the realm of morality and idealism. Unfortunately, when a specific date is set on a release, there is no morality and idealism involved; there is only the truth. The point I'm trying to make is that a specific date was given. If there is a possibility that the date cannot be met, then there is either a correction(yes, in the form of a press release) or an apology sent to the person that it was told to. Dates set in the business world(such as a specific date given) are not subject to change at the drop of a hat, especially in the web advertising world. If you need more time on a deadline, you inform everyone that you need more time, and set a new date. That was the unprofessionalism(I don't think that's a word) displayed by the old regime and I hope that it is not mimicked by the new one. Postmodernism cannot, as a doctrine, be applied to capitalism, because capitalism thrives on the cutthroat "set in stone" atmosphere. Sorry for my philosophical outburst. Matty Gregg
