Ztcet,

Your thoughts are anything but naive. There are many other aspects to the "days" trading machinations, but your perspective is a good primer to the uninitiated.

I have been looking for any written reference to just what the NASDAQ rules are when it comes to the MM's. I am led to believe that these rules are substantially different when it comes to the NMS, National Market System, the "credible" trading system that "uses" the NASDAQ, and the BB, Bulletin Board, which is viewed as the less than "credible" trading system. NASDAQ gives both systems "liquidity," however, because of the absolute control of the MM's on the BB, it has the "less than" credentials.

Does this mean we should NOT trade issues on the BB? Not at all. However, it does mean there are other risks involved that should be evaluated along with the DD on the equity itself. The volatility difference between the BB and the NMS is not all that great. It could be, and with some issues, it most definitely is. PNLK has had significant volatility, however, when you look at certain NMS traded issues, volatility has been greater.

As always, care, DD, and a basic knowledge of the specific markets idiosyncrasies should be considered before buying into the attendant market equity.

I would appreciate it if there is anyone out there that might have any reference that I might buy from Amazon, (analogy to PNLK?) to this subject matter that adds to our collective information.
