CNBC interview.

Irene and everyone:

Y'all watched the interview??? I did and I thought it was too short and sweet,Mr.Thompson did an excellent job with the limited time he had, about 5 min tops. Mark Haines looked like he didn't know much about Orbital or their business and hence the questions weren't all that interesting.Joe Battapaglia of Grutal asked couple of questions which I thought was better than Mark's. I wish CNBC learn a bit more about the company before they interview the CEOs and allocate at least 10-15 min time for the interview so that the company can present a better picture of what they are about etc.

When asked about how people in the developing world like India,China, Brazil and other countries could afford satellite telephony Mr.Thompson said that the service will be priced at affordable and competitive levels so that the target audience of 1.5 billion people in 75 countries can afford to use their services. This was of course in reference to the ECCO satellite phone system.

Aslo he said right now the satellite communication business represent only 1-2% of total 1 trillion dollar market and there is enough room for the industry to grow and compete with the terrestrial telephony and that their target audience is the 'unwired' people in these countries as many parts of these countries do not have any telephone services at all and the penetration is very low due to shortcomings in infrastructure. etc etc.

All in all a good job.

Anybody has any thoughts on the subject if you have seen the interview that is.
