"I am a little confused on this. I looked last night and saw two trades of 16,500 at the ask." Mark, What you thought were two 16.5k buys were actually two postings of the "ask" price. On quote.com, the numbers inside the gray backgrounds are the bid and ask prices. Click on the "detailed overview" for more information on what the different colors mean. Hope this helps. Bruce PS: One thing I noticed this morning on Level II, whatever was left of that large DEAN offering has been pulled from the table.
