Did you follow a link to get to this page? I'd like to read the commentary.

This is much what I expected the handheld AMP to look like. Basically it's a Discman that can play DVDs on the screen (I guessed at this thousands of posts ago). And, because it presumably uses MacOS and has handwriting recognition etc, it can function as a MessagePad/Powerbook replacement as well. If this thing really exists, and it's priced right, it will be a killer device.

(It's also intresting to note that the original Newton project had a tablet-sized device in mind, but this got axed in favor of the smaller MessagePad).

All I can say is WOW!

These appear to be resin mock-ups of the AMP -- and maybe a CPU/display section of the next-gen PowerBook series? (the keyboard section is IR linked and removable). Wait... I take that back -- the display is too small. They appear to be all AMP design concepts. Any guesses?

WOW!, looks like two different variants , the top one appears to have 2 3.5 drives where the lower 2 pics have a DVD/CD and some strange controller buttons on the face, maybe a pop out keyboard on the end???. very interesting indeed..

cheers....
