Alan

In Jan 98 I was cold called by La Jolla about a "hot stock"
I don't remember what it was. The thing that may be interesting is that when the pressure sales tactics didn't work, the broker at LaJolla said he was just going to close my account since I would not take his advice. He said I was his only customer holding GLCP. It was .05 at the time. I was holding 50,000 shares of GLCP at the time through Emmitt Larkin, LCAP's clearing house. He said he wanted to get it "off his books" LCAP closed my account and sent me a certificate which I now have in another account.

My question is--How would running off a customer benefit LCAP? We must assume LCAP takes no action that does not directly benefit them.

Maybe this saga has no meaning but if there is anything the thread can glean from it- let me know.
